The 1999 Ford Expedition XLT is powered by a 4.6 litre SOHC V8 16-valve engine.

Built on the F-150 platform of the 97 Expedition, the 99 model has standard dual airbags, antilock brakes, and fold-flat second row seats. It holds three full rows of seats, with a seating capacity of 9 persons.

The 1999 Expedition has a number of added features like 16-inch wheels, privacy glass, removable fold-flat third seat, and captain's chairs with floor console. The SUV also offer the option of power adjustable accelerator and brake pedals.

A Command Trac system allows automatic 4-WD when required.

The SUV is available in shades of green, gold, blue and tan.
