Shrikant Karani, elected as the Vice President of the Asian Motorcycle Union

At the Asian Motorcycle Union (UAM) Congress held recently at Zhuhai, China, FMSCI's and India's representative Mr.Shrikant Karani was elected Vice President among four other Vice-Presidents viz Mr.Dolly Indra Nasution of Ikatan Motor Indonesia, Mr.Wang Xuan Qing of Chinese Motor Sports Association and Mr.Mathew Lee of Singapore Motor Sports Association.

Besides being the Chairman of the FMSCI's 2 Wheeler Motorsports Committee, Mr.Shrikant Karani is also the President of motorsport promoters Sportscraft.

The Asian Motorcyle Union, currently headed by Mr.Tunku Mudzaffar of Malaysia, is the Asian wing of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme, the world body for 2 and 3 wheeler motorsport based at Geneva, of which the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) is a long standing member and holder of their sporting power in India.
