The Thrissur Motor
Show 2001 was inaugurated by Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, the Asst. Collector
today. The event will last for four days from April 5.
The show has a comprehensive display of vehicles arranged in 4 segments.
The four-wheeler section has attracted participation from Hyundai,
FIAT, Ford, M&M, Tata Engineering, HM, Swaraj Mazda and Daewoo.
The prime attraction of the show is a pavilion from DC Designs,
Mumbai, where 5 vehicles will have their Kerala premiere.
The two-wheeler segment has displays for Hero Honda, LML, Enfield
Bullet and others, besides a wide range of accessories, lubes, tyres
and finance schemes.
The show also has displays highlighting the advances in automobile
technology and road safety by the Kuttukaran Institute of HRD, and
the Accident Care and Transport Society (ACTS) respectively. Also
on show is a vintage vehicle section and educational stalls by the
students of the Govt. Engg. College, Thrissur.
The function was attended by the Principal of the Govt. Engg. College,
Thrissur, delegates and students.
The show will be open to the public between 10am and 8 pm.
