INDIAN AUTOMOBILE TRADE FAIR: 6 - 10 DEC 2000
At the show...


The Pune Auto2000 was held from 6th to 10th Dec 2000. With over 105 participants, the Auto2000 received an excellent response and attracted visitors that included manufacturers and their representatives, traders, dealers, garage owners, service engineers and mechanics, administrators and govt. officials, students of engineering and consumers.
Apart from display of vehicles like Toyota, Maruti, Opel, and two wheelers like TVS Suzuki, Hero Mopeds etc. the Auto2000 also displayed products by leading names from auto components, garage equipment & tools, auto accessories. Displays by gov. departments like the Regional Transport Authorities (R.T.O), Traffic Department, Pune Municipal Transsport and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation attracted a large number of visitors who could find out about the latest developments and the good work that these departments undertake every day to serve people.
The Indian Airforce displayed a wide range of components required for their Special Purpose Vehicles. This display was to encourage manufacturers and entrepreneurs to supply components required by the Air Force and promote their business in new areas.

Concurrent to Auto2000, a series of seminars where held on various related subjects for understanding and exchanging views on latest trends in automotive industry. The subjects included - 'Auto Industry Scenario - Recent Trends', Fuel, Lubricating systems & emission control, Garage Management & control, and Service equipment & tools.
