Discontinuing the Cielo GLE model, Daewoo is planning to launch the Nexia later this year. The Daewoo Nexia features the latest 1500 cc 16-valve DOHC (Dual Over Head Camshaft) engine housed in a lightweight aluminum head.

It is the only car in its class to have Direct Ignition System for accurate spark timing and maintenance-free performance. The engine control system is ECM with multiple point fuel injection.

Billed as Daewoo's car for the next generation, the Nexia is a powerful driving experience, and gives an output of 92 BHP @ 5600 rpm.

Also on display were the new model Matiz that Daewoo has introduced in the market.

The four variant of the new Matiz are:

Matiz Standard (SS) - the basic model without air-conditioning

Matiz Deluxe (SD) - with AC, and equipped with a music system, antenna, mudguard, rear assist grip, tail gate emblem etc.

Matiz Executive (SE) - has additional power windows, central door lock, body coloured bumpers, superior trim level

Matiz Premium (SP) - is fully loaded and additionally has power steering, roof-rail, rear wiper, rear defoggers etc.

Daewoo has started accepting orders for the new models of the Matiz.
