The formation of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association
(FADA) in January 1964 signified the urge of India's automobile
dealer community to have their own identity and a national organisation
of their own.
FADA provides an all India platform to promote and safeguard legitimate
business interests of the auto dealer community.
FOUNDER MEMBERS
The initiative to form FADA came from the four regional associations:
(1) The Automobile Dealers Association Of Maharashtra Ltd. Mumbai.
(2) The Motor Industries Associations , Calcutta.
(3) The Automobile Traders Association Delhi , New Delhi.
(4) Motor Vehicles And Allied Industries Association , Chennai.
FADA's PUBLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES :
FADA's activities include publication of Special studies , Periodicals
and newsletters , organising seminars and press conferences , sponsoring
study tours and newspaper supplements all designed mainly to educate
the automobile dealer community in India on the many changes and
innovations taking place both in the automobile industry and auto
distribution network.
FADA also distributes free leaflets on automobile related subjects
among motor vehicles owners , public transport drivers , road transport
undertakings and indeed , road users at large.
FADA's role is to guide , assist and motivate the auto dealers
to perform their task ably and also to ensure for them a respectable
place in the nation's business and trade.
