Maruti 800 (Standard, EX, DX)
Features

The Maruti 800 is the first vehicle outside Japan to get an ISO 9002 certification. The company has a marketshare of more than 80% of the Indian Car market.

The company has over 170 showrooms in over 90 cities and over 1200 authorised service stations in 471 Indian cities.

Baby of 'SUZUKI' the international leader in small car technology, the Maruti 800 is well adapted and modified to suit Indian conditions.

Proven and tested over a period of time, the Maruti 800 is an efficient car that ensures relaibility.

The New Maruti 800 has trendy fenders, large indicator lamps and combination headlights. The larger bumpers and the new front grill give the car a contemporary look. The car comes with attractive upholstery with matching door trims. The new roof lining provides good insulation against heat and sound.

The car has a monocoque construction - the chassis and the body are welded into one unit. The body has crumple zones which absorb impact and protect passengers from harm in case of a collision. Seat belts, dual circuit brakes, side impact beams and a laminated windshield add safety. The car is further reinforced in 13 critical locations.

Maruti 800 Standard:
The Maruti 800 Standard model has leafspring type rear suspension which is not as smooth as the coil spring suspension available in the 800 EX, 800 DX and the Zen models. Thus passengers on the rear seats get a bumpier ride.

Maruti 800 EX:
The Maruti 800 EX comes with gas charged shock absorbers and the coil spring suspension at the rear which is more advanced than the spring type suspension in older Maruti cars. The coil type rear suspension for small cars was initially introduced with the Maruti Zen. It makes the ride much more smoother and comfortable for passengers on the rear seats.

Maruti 800 DX
:
The Maruti 800 DX comes has all the features of the 800 EX model.
The DX is the deluxe version with an Air-Conditioner (50 cc compressor, compared to 80cc in Zen and 110 in Matiz & Santro) and has the following added features -
. Green tinted glasses
. Front bucket seats with larger armrests
. Vanity mirror for co-driver
. Spacious pockets on the front doors
. Coin holder
. Jacquard - type upholstery and door trims
