The Opel Astra - The MY-99 Model (Petrol)
The basic features and technical specifications of the MY-99 Opel Astra is similar to the Metro Model.
The engine is a 1.6 litre engine - 16 NZR, Tbi, inline transverse mounted.
The suspensions are independent, wishbone plus McPherson strut in the front, and compound link with double conical coil spring and torsion bar in the rear. Brakes are hydraulic, diagonally split, power assisted disc (front) drum (rear), asbestos free.

The car stresses on the comfort angle for both the driver and the passengers. The instrument panel is designed to wrap around the driving position to provide a user-friendly console. There is special pollen filter that keeps the dust and pollution out-side the car. The trunk has ample luggage carrying space, along with a low loading aperture for ease of access. Moreover individually foldable rear seats allow variation of load space.
