After the Escort, the Ikon comes as a breath of fresh air. Its classy and well proportioned looks make it the best looking car in its segment.

It's a treat to hear the Ford Ikon's 1.6 litre Rocam petrol engine purr as it takes you from 0 - 100 kmph in 11.5 secs. A very useful low end torque of 130Nm @2500 rpm makes sure you are first off the traffic lights. Add to this power steering, reduced noise, vibration and harshness, a firm but supple suspension and what you've got is the original "josh machine".

The Ford Ikon has the best seating in its class along with an extra aircon vent exclusively for the back, two rear reading lamps and easy entry and exit. Plus, enough head, shoulder and leg room for long drives.
